I've been there. And I've spent years learning, because chronic sinusitis, through ancient pranayama, detoxification practices, freediving, yoga, breathwork, and working with hundreds of people—that when we change how we breathe, we change how we feel. Not temporarily. Fundamentally.

What You'll Learn

Week 1: The Foundation - Breathing as Nature Intended

We start at the beginning: understanding how your breath works and why it may have gone off track. You'll learn functional breathing mechanics, the difference between mouth and nasal breathing, and how your breath patterns directly affect your energy, sleep, and stress levels.

This week includes:

  • How dysfunctional breathing develops (and why it's not your fault)

  • The anatomy of a healthy breath

  • Nasal breathing: why it matters more than you think

  • Introduction to myofunctional exercises for tongue posture and jaw release

  • Your baseline assessment: where is your breath right now?

Week 2: The Nervous System - From Surviving to Thriving

Your breath is the remote control for your nervous system. This week, we dive into the science of why you feel the way you feel and how to use breath to shift from fight-or-flight into rest-and-repair.

This week includes:

  • Understanding your nervous system: sympathetic vs. parasympathetic

  • The vagus nerve: your body's built-in calm-down switch

  • Breathwork techniques for instant regulation

  • Vagus nerve stimulation practices you can do anywhere

  • Recognising your patterns: when does your system go into overdrive?

Week 3: The Body - Posture, Tension & Embodied Breathing

Your breath doesn't exist in isolation, it lives in your body. This week, we explore somatic practices how posture affects breath (and breath affects posture), and you'll learn somatic techniques to release chronic holding patterns.

This week includes:

  • The breath-posture connection: how one shapes the other

  • Releasing the diaphragm, ribs, and pelvic floor

  • Tongue posture and its surprising impact on breathing and jaw tension

  • Myofunctional exercises for long-term change

  • Somatic practices for nervous system reset through the body

Week 4: The Practice - Building Your Sustainable Routine

Knowledge means nothing without practice. This final week is about integration: creating a personalised routine that works for YOUR life, not someone else's ideal.

This week includes:

  • Designing your morning and evening breath rituals

  • Breath practices for specific situations (sleep, stress, energy, focus)

  • How to maintain progress without perfection

  • Troubleshooting common challenges

  • Your personalised 10-minute daily practice

About Your Guide

Hola! I'm Ana Balbuena, founder of TRIBU space.

I'm a breathwork facilitator, yoga teacher, and freediver who has spent years exploring the intersection of breath, nervous system science, and somatic practice.

I've facilitated retreats across Australia, led events at festivals, trained instructors, and worked one-on-one with people from all walks of life—from anxious executives to curious kids.

But more than any credential, what I bring is experience—in my own body, in my own nervous system, in my own journey from feeling disconnected and overwhelmed to feeling grounded and alive.

I believe in the power of breath not because I read about it, but because I've lived it. And I've seen it transform hundreds of lives.

This course is the distillation of everything I've learned—made simple, practical, and accessible.

I've never done breathwork before. Is this for beginners?

Absolutely. This course is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you've never thought about your breath or you've been practicing for years, the functional approach we take will give you new insights and tools.


How much time do I need each week?

The daily practices are designed to be around 15- 30 minutes. The live Q&A is about an hour. You can do more if you want to go deeper, but the essentials are designed to fit real life.


What if I can't make the live calls?

All live Q&A sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. You can also submit questions in advance if you know you'll miss a session.


Will this help with my anxiety/sleep issues/chronic tension?

I can tell you that the practices in this course directly address the physiological patterns underlying anxiety, poor sleep, and chronic tension. Most participants notice shifts within the first two weeks. That said, this is not a replacement for medical care if you need it.
